Christian Giménez is a retired Argentine professional footballer who is best known for his time playing as a midfielder for Cruz Azul in the Mexican Liga MX. He was born on January 1, 1981, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Giménez started his career with Platense in Argentina before moving to Mexican club Pachuca in 2004, where he had a successful stint and won several trophies. In 2010, he signed with Cruz Azul, where he quickly became a fan favorite and one of the team's key players.
During his time at Cruz Azul, Giménez won multiple titles, including the Liga MX Clausura championship in 2013 and the Copa MX in 2013 and 2018. He was known for his leadership on the field, technical ability, and his free-kick skills.
Giménez retired from professional football in 2019 after a successful career that spanned over 18 years. He is regarded as one of the most successful foreign players to have played in the Mexican league.
